1. Definitions

1.1. “Client” means the person, company, or organization requesting or purchasing restoration or conservation services from Dubai Art Restoration Lab.
1.2. “Company” means Dubai Art Restoration Lab and includes its employees, contractors, and authorized representatives.
1.3. “Services” means all conservation, restoration, consultancy, collection management, and related services offered by the Company.
1.4. “Agreement” means the written or electronic acceptance of a quotation or proposal provided by the Company.
1.5. “Premises” means the address designated by the Client for delivery or collection of items.
1.6. “Items” refers to any artwork, frame, sculpture, or object submitted to the Company for assessment or restoration.

2. Quotations and Assessments

2.1. All quotations issued by Dubai Art Restoration Lab are valid for 90 days unless otherwise stated.
2.2. Quotations are provided following initial inspection or based on images and descriptions supplied by the Client.
2.3. The Company reserves the right to amend quotations upon detailed examination if the scope of work differs from the initial assessment.
2.4. All prices are exclusive of VAT, customs duties, or other applicable charges unless explicitly stated.
2.5. Acceptance of a quotation constitutes agreement to these Terms and Conditions.

3. Payment

3.1. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to initiate work. The remaining balance must be paid upon completion, before collection or delivery.
3.2. Clients with approved credit accounts must settle invoices within 30 days of issue.
3.3. Late payments may incur interest at a rate of 10% per annum or the prevailing UAE Central Bank base rate, whichever is higher.
3.4. The Company reserves the right to withhold or delay delivery of items until all outstanding balances are cleared.

4. Delivery and Collection

4.1. Delivery and collection dates are provided as estimates only.
4.2. Dubai Art Restoration Lab shall not be liable for delays caused by transport issues, customs, or events beyond its control.
4.3. Clients are responsible for all transport and insurance arrangements unless agreed otherwise in writing.

5. Storage

5.1. Items left uncollected for more than 30 days after completion may incur a storage fee of AED 75 per week per item.
5.2. After 180 days, the Company reserves the right to dispose of or sell uncollected items to recover storage and handling costs.

6. Ownership and Risk

6.1. All items submitted remain the property of the Client. However, the Company retains a lien over such items until full payment is received.
6.2. The Company will exercise reasonable care while handling Client property but cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage beyond its control, including fire, theft, or natural disasters.
6.3. Clients are encouraged to maintain appropriate insurance coverage for their artworks during transit and while in storage.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1. The Company’s total liability shall not exceed the total value of the invoice related to the services provided.
7.2. The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic losses, including loss of value, income, or reputation.
7.3. Any claims for defects or dissatisfaction must be submitted in writing within 14 days of receiving the restored item.

8. Photography and Marketing

8.1. Dubai Art Restoration Lab may photograph or record artworks during treatment for documentation and quality control.
8.2. Images may be used for educational or marketing purposes only with the Client’s written consent.
8.3. All identifying information is kept confidential unless permission is granted.

9. Cancellation Policy

9.1. Cancellations made before restoration work begins may incur administrative charges.
9.2. Once treatment has commenced, deposits are non-refundable and the Client remains responsible for costs incurred up to that point.

10. Confidentiality

10.1. The Company respects the privacy of all Clients and upholds non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) as required.
10.2. No information, images, or details about artworks will be shared without the Client’s written authorization.

11. Force Majeure

11.1. Neither party shall be held liable for delays or failures in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, strikes, or governmental restrictions.

12. Governing Law

12.1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
12.2. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai Courts.
