Our restorer Vedika Kochhar has completed her Master’s in Restoration of paintings from Accademia Riaci in Florence, Italy. She has worked with San Felice degli Artiginelli in Florence working on paintings, panels and frames from the 17th century onwards. She has extensively worked on valuable art pieces from churches around Florence and Pisa as well as private collections. She has undertaken works by modern and contemporary Indian artists as well as modern and contemporary Middle Eastern artists. She has worked on artworks in Italy, India and the Middle East. Having completed a Master’s in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art London she is also a consultant with an expertise in conservation consultancy, portfolio diversification and collection advise. Having worked with multiple mediums and artworks from around the globe and with a deep commitment to the preservation of cultural heritage she brings extensive expertise in the field. Also being a researcher in the field she employs hands-on craftsmanship and scientific analysis to treat and preserve artworks. Her approach is rooted in precision, ethics, and sensitivity to each piece’s aesthetic character. Her experience in scientific analysis and research brings together fundamental information on the materials on the artwork, material reactions during processes and future state and deterioration of the materials.
